Okay, time to stimulate some discussion. This is the year of the Fire Dog. The last Fire Dog was early 1946- early 1947 and it was a doozy. Just look at the history from that period: the establishment of Israel, war crime tribunals in Nuremburg and Tokyo, Japanese women get to vote for the very first time, the UN meets for the first time and the world tries to put itself back together after the first truly world-wide war.
Now, I study Chinese Astrology as a hobby and can tell you that the Fire Dog year is about good vs. evil, right vs. wrong, or in short: judgement. How are we judging ourselves and others this year? Is the lesson of the Fire Dog to suspend judgement?
We also (Oct 17th) just went through a Cosmic Trigger Event. Those who profess to know say that a big blast of ultraviolet energy hit our planet on that date. It was supposed to open up our heart chakras. I dunno, I think it opened up my throat chakra more-I'm finding new ways to speak my truth and forgiveness (a throat chakra issue) is becoming the current favorite amongst my family, friends and clientele.
Here's the upshot of the most common strain of thought coming through all this to me: acceptance is non-judgement. I just have to accept that I am who I am right now. I don't have to like it, I don't have to change it and I don't have to judge it. Once I've accepted it, I can let it go if it no longer serves me, foster it if it does and still be in a space of non-judgement.
And forgiveness of myself and others does not mean that the slate is wiped clean. Forgiveness does not devolve me or anyone else of the moral/societal repercussions of actions. It merely means that I will not allow myself to be the victim of myself or anyone else any longer.
This is all kinda stream of consciousness, but I'm great at blurting and maybe it'll stimulate a little conversation here.
Oh...before I forget: the other day Blue Jay came to say hello. This HUGE blue jay sat in a tree outside my store and every time I came outside it would caw and cackle until I gave it my full attention. Then it would pick up a piece of food and hop from branch to branch. Blue Jay, again according to those who claim to know, is about the 'correct' use of power. Judgement.
Otherwise, how y'all are? It's been a while since I've been around. Nice to see ya!
